One thing at least seems to count as a Good Thing, namely the voluminous records relating to trade and the economy throughout many parts of China that were created by the CMC’s clerks.
Professor Lyons’s book serves as an introduction and guide for historians, economists, and students wishing to make use of these records. Good book. His stories are beautiful; his perceptions gentle and timely. Really informative. Several tools are illustrated along with some pros and cons. Very well written. "EMMA" fascinated me from beginning to end. With all that said, graph databases are now being given more attention.
I think few would disagree that whenever graph databases are mentioned, Neo4j gets mentioned first as an actual example. The page layout is very well done and makes full use of the book's ten inches by ten inches size. No, I can't believe it either.
