The philosophical side of this story was fascinating. What I found is that there is a helpful exercise or two for implementing every key idea in The Fifth Discipline. Rollins, like many others through the ages, simply alleviates certain tensions and paradoxes by cutting off or burning away the parts he feels least comfortable with.
