I'm grateful to Zimberoff and Hartman for their work in developing healing paths. You can't help but wonder how Gorrell survived almost ten years of intense danger, deprivation and separtaion from home and family. If you are an innovative thinker with the desire to change the world and the products that exist in it, then read this book. Very interesting history about the best player of the current era. English words are carefully chosen and faithful to the original phrases. Although wide-ranging, it quite deliberately avoids the dark side. If you are an armchair historian, buy these books. Maynard Solomon has made the same points in detail in his essay on the Seventh Symphony in his recent book "Late Beethoven".
In addition to the musical analyses, Grove writes with great passion about Beethoven and his work. I purchase used copies at Amazon.com – rarely for more than a few cents each, so that neither the publisher nor author receives a cent for their work.
