Megan Halsey and Sean Addy are the illustrators and their draws/painting/collages give the flavor to the 1940s. Be warned that these are SMALL TINY books. We highly recommend this book for its broad scope and fascinating details. She lost her husband Tobe, who died from a terrible accident at a young age & left Emma with 6 young children to raise on her own. As a grad student studying psychology, I found this book to be a little pedestrian because I've already covered most of the topics in textbooks. Finally, attention is given to the Inner planes. To that effect, it provides a nice cross section of the current issues along with authoritative treatment by some of the leading experts in the field. A few older women walked by and smiled. The chemistry between them is immediate, earthy, electric and what some would call “undeniable” .
