It is a feast for the eyes. I also found myself questioning the seeming need for loan after loan after loan - I'm not convinced that this is completely a good thing, but it wasn't dealt with at much length in the book so I don't know how typical that is or what it really indicates. The story of Holofernes's fatal encounter with the Jewish heroine was a common one in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, but the great majority of visual interpretations of the event, as one can see from the excellent illustrations in Dr. I was impressed with the customer reviews, so I ordered Snapshots.
