I hope he keeps them going.. This was the first book I ever read by P.C. This the first Stu Mead overview to be published and shows his beginnings as a surrealist who was told by another artist to paint what makes you happy when finding his way to painting his personal fantasies and later to painting portraits. For the record, I am an experienced programmer with years of J2EE (now Java EE) work under my belt. Have purchased as baby gifts for friends because they're just so cute and unique.. Dick Vitale, by contrast, is dismissed as a "pain in the ass." Howard Cosell is a special case altogether, and the author's commentary here is somewhat more personal and detailed. Just a thought.. The chapters are both interesting and informative. His recollections of players and locales of those early days are fascinating and a studied contrast to what the league has become today.
