Editorial : From the Back Cover Alfred Kazin has aptly remarked that "the greatest story Jack London ever wrote was the story he lived". Newsboy, factory "work beast", gang member, hobo, sailor, Klondike argonaut, socialist crusader, war correspondent, utopian farmer, and world-famous adventurer: London is the closest thing America has had to a literary folk hero. His writing itself is concerned with nothing less than the largest questions and the grandest themes: What does it mean to be a human being in the natural world? What debts do human beings owe each other - and to all their fellow creatures? This collection places London, at last, securely within the American literary pantheon. It includes the complete novel The Call of the Wild; such famous stories as "Love of Life", "To Build a Fire", and "All Gold Canyon"; journalism, political writings, literary criticism, and selected letters.

Since the age of nine, he's had to take a variety of part-time jobs to support his deadbeat parents who spend all their money gambling. For years I have been asked Why? Why do we do things wrong? Why do bees sting? Why are people mean to each other? This book answers these questions in a biblical and fun way for children.
We used this along with several resources from answers in Genesis and some of Ken Ham's books. This book was recommended to me recently as a "must have", so I felt lucky to get a copy of it in gently used condition (as it is out of print). Not a complete guide to all foundation engineering but good enough for those structural engineers dabbling in geotechnics.. His visionary father also contributed to achieving his dreams after realising the importance of facilitating his son's quality education.
"Olusegun manifested early in life the traits of an independent-minded, strong-willed, smart boy.
